Softball Recap: Miami Christian Victors vs. Marathon Dolphins

With a playoff game on the line, Miami Christian rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 17-2 margin over the Marathon Dolphins. Miami Christian's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Renata Silvas looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up just two earned runs but no hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive pitching appearances.

At the plate, Maria Hernandez was incredible, going 3-for-3 with a home run, three runs, and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Danna Viera, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Miami Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7-1 record this season. As for Marathon, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-5.
