Baseball Recap: West Clermont Wolves vs. Turpin Spartans
West Clermont was the 10-0 winner over Turpin when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Wolves fell 9-5 to the Spartans on Wednesday. Wolves fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Spartans since on Wednesday.
West Clermont got a good showing from Caleb Ruberg, who tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off one hit. Ruberg has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Joe Lammers made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
