Basketball Game Preview: Mount Tabor Spartans vs. West Forsyth Titans + Official Tickets

Mount Tabor and West Forsyth are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2019, but not for long. The Spartans will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Mount Tabor's tournament run continued when they took on Forbush on Wednesday. The Spartans lost 54-30 to the Falcons.

Despite the defeat, Mount Tabor had strong showings from Kayden Grayson, who posted 11 points in addition to five boards and three steals, and Amani Morris, who had seven points. Grayson is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season.

Meanwhile, West Forsyth earned a 46-33 win over Forsyth Country Day on Wednesday.

West Forsyth's win came from a few key players Mount Tabor will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Laila Jones, who went 5-for-10 to rack up 15 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Armani Hyde, who shot 55% from the field en route to 14 points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Mount Tabor now has a losing record of 1-2. As for West Forsyth, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Mount Tabor has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 34.3 rebounds per game. However, it's not like West Forsyth struggles in that department as they've been averaging 27 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.

Mount Tabor didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against West Forsyth in their previous matchup back in February, but they still walked away with a 55-51 win. Will the Spartans repeat their success, or do the Titans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
