Basketball Game Preview: Palm Beach Central Broncos vs. Leonard Lancers

Palm Beach Central has gone 9-1 against Leonard recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Palm Beach Central Broncos will look to defend their home court against the Leonard Lancers at 7:00 p.m. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Palm Beach Central and 12 for Leonard.

Last Thursday, Palm Beach Central came up short against Suncoast and fell 54-47.

Palm Beach Central's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Izabelle Vilmont, who posted 14 points in addition to eight rebounds and five steals, and Triniti Crouse, who put up 15 points and three steals. Those eight boards gave Vilmont a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Miella McGuire, who earned five points.

Meanwhile, Leonard played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 60-40 to Jupiter Christian.

Palm Beach Central will need focus on slowing down Angie Vazquez-Damian, one of several Leonard players who made an impact when they last played. She had eight points. Kayla Martinez was another key player, putting up ten points.

Leonard's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Palm Beach Central, their loss dropped their record down to 9-14.

Everything came up roses for Palm Beach Central against Leonard in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 59-18 victory. Will Palm Beach Central repeat their success, or does Leonard have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
