Basketball Game Preview: Blue Valley Southwest Timberwolves vs. Bonner Springs Braves

The Blue Valley Southwest Timberwolves will head out to take on the Bonner Springs Braves at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Blue Valley Southwest has given up an average of 57.8 points per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

It was a classic North v. South duel when Blue Valley Southwest challenged Blue Valley North on Friday. Blue Valley Southwest took a 68-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of Blue Valley North. Meanwhile, Bonner Springs entered their tilt with Baldwin on Friday with three consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bulldogs, sneaking past 57-55.

Bonner Springs' win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points over those games. As for Blue Valley Southwest, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Blue Valley Southwest against Bonner Springs in their previous meeting back in March of 2023, as the squad secured an 86-55 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Bonner Springs' Tavian Cruse, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 19 boards.
