Softball Recap: Forsyth Home Educators Has No Trouble Against Hickory Grove Christian

Forsyth Home Educators's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 14-2 margin over the Hickory Grove Christian Lions. The matchup marked the Hawks' most dominant win of the season so far.

Abigail Smith made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Smith was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, Addison Moore was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. Reagan Clontz was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-2.

Forsyth Home Educators kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Forsyth Home Educators' victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Hickory Grove Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3.

Coming up, Forsyth Home Educators will host Charity Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hickory Grove Christian, they are taking a road trip to challenge SouthLake Christian Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hickory Grove Christian has given up an average of 9.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
