Basketball Recap: Craigmont Takes a Loss

Craigmont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were dealt a 77-28 defeat at the hands of the Millington Central Trojans. Having soared to a lofty 55 points in the game before, the Chiefs couldn't push the score so high this time.

Cody McGhee was nothing short of spectacular for Millington Central: he went 5 of 9 on his way to 13 points in addition to eight assists and six rebounds. That's the most assists McGhee has posted since back in November of 2024. Andre Tyler was another key player, putting up 14 points and three steals.

Craigmont's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Millington Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Craigmont has already played their next game (against Covington), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Millington Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-55 defeat against Brighton on the 17th.
