Baseball Recap: Parma Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Parma lost to Weiser two weeks ago, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Panthers came out on top against the Wolverines by a score of 8-4.

Kaden Cole made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Ethan Obenchain was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Parma is 3-1 when Obenchain posts two or more runs, but 4-10 otherwise. Jacob Mikelson was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Parma's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-11. As for Weiser, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-12-1.

Looking ahead, Parma will host Homedale at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Weiser, they will face off against Cole Valley Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
