While Petersburg's win against East Hardy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Vikings narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Cougars 5-4. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-2 back in April.

Petersburg has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for East Hardy, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-15 record.

Petersburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Hardy, they will head out to take on Pendleton County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
