Baseball Recap: Pacific Comes Up Short

Pacific was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the San Bernardino Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-11 back in March.

Pacific saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Madrid, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Pacific's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11-1. As for San Bernardino, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-10.

While Pacific had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
