Volleyball Recap: Prestonsburg Takes a Loss

Prestonsburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pikeville Panthers. If the Blackcats were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Panthers when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Prestonsburg's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Pikeville, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Prestonsburg will host Floyd Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pikeville, they will take on Phelps in a tournament on Wednesday.
