Baseball Recap: Wapahani Gets the Win

After losing to Yorktown the last time they met, Wapahani decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Raiders walked away with a 9-4 win over the Tigers on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Raiders.

The team relied heavily on Grayson Acosta, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.

Wapahani's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Yorktown, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.

Coming up, Wapahani will head out to square off against Monroe Central at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Golden Bears have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.6 runs per game on average), something the Raiders will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Yorktown, they will be playing in front of their home fans against New Castle at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
