With a playoff win on the line, Cohasset rose to the challenge on Friday. They breezed past the Rockland Bulldogs to the tune of 42-6. Considering the Skippers have won six games by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Cohasset was led to victory by Michael Wildfire and Gus Greene. Wildfire rushed for 35 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while Greene rushed for 94 yards and two TDs. What's more, Wildfire posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in September of 2024. Max Monahan got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
The victory (which was Cohasset's fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.8 points over those games. As for Rockland, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cohasset will welcome Northbridge at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Skippers will need to watch out since the Rams have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests.
