Basketball Game Preview: West Johnston Wildcats vs. Corinth Holders Pirates

The West Johnston Wildcats will venture away from home to face off against the Corinth Holders Pirates at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Johnston has given up an average of 59 points per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when West Johnston took on Goldsboro on Saturday. The Wildcats were dealt a 60-33 loss at the hands of the Cougars. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Corinth Holders came up short against Franklinton on Tuesday and fell 67-55.

Corinth Holders' defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for West Johnston, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

West Johnston was able to grind out a solid win over Corinth Holders in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 64-57. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
