Mount St. Mary Academy had lost nine games straight , but after bumping their record up to 5-13 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They were the clear victors by an 11-5 margin over the Fountain Lake Cobras. The Belles' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last nine games.

As for Fountain Lake, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11. The defeat continues a trend for them in their meetings with Mount St. Mary Academy: they've now lost three in a row.

For Fountain Lake's part, Ellie Johnson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, two triples, and three runs.

Looking ahead, Mount St. Mary Academy will challenge Little Rock Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fountain Lake, they will face off against Bauxite at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
