Basketball Recap: Mayer Takes a Loss

Mayer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They were outmatched by the Bagdad Sultans and fell 52-25. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 57-26 last Monday.

Mayer's defeat dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Bagdad, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Mayer will square off against Joseph City at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. One thing working in Joseph City's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matches. Bagdad does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
