Basketball Game Preview: Dekaney Wildcats vs. MacArthur Generals

Dekaney hasn't had much luck against MacArthur recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Dekaney Wildcats are taking a road trip to face off against the MacArthur Generals at 12:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when Dekaney faced off against Spring on Wednesday. Dekaney took a blow against Spring, falling 53-25.

Meanwhile, MacArthur lost 47-26 to Westfield on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Generals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1193rd, while the Mustangs are ranked 300th).

MacArthur has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-23 record this season. As for Dekaney, their loss dropped their record down to 6-17.

Dekaney beat MacArthur 33-26 when the teams last played on January 7th. The rematch might be a little tougher for Dekaney since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
