Volleyball Recap: Essex Tech Comes Up Short on the Road Against Woburn Memorial

Essex Tech had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to the Woburn Memorial Tanners on Thursday.

Essex Tech took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-21, 25-22.

Essex Tech lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jack Booth, who had 15 kills, four digs, three blocks, and three aces. Another player making a difference was Barrett Cross, who had 26 assists and four digs.

Woburn Memorial got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Rohan Patel out in front who had seven digs and three aces. That's the most aces Patel has posted since back in April of 2024.

Essex Tech didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Dracut on the 31st. As for Woburn Memorial, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Lexington on the 1st.
