Football Recap: Providence Hall Patriots vs. American Leadership Academy Eagles
Providence Hall and American Leadership Academy squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Providence Hall had to settle for second. They were dealt a 63-21 loss at the hands of the American Leadership Academy Eagles. One positive for the Patriots, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.
It was another big night for Kannon Huntsman, who rushed for 150 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries for American Leadership Academy. Huntsman really tore up the turf during one magnificent 75-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of Tad Swarnes, who picked up 256 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Providence Hall is on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11. As for American Leadership Academy, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
Providence Hall does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for American Leadership Academy, they will take on Emery at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. American Leadership Academy is no doubt hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
