Basketball Recap: St. Anthony Piles Up the Points Against Saint Mary's Hall

St. Anthony had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.5 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They took their match with ease, bagging a 79-44 win over the Saint Mary's Hall Barons. The Yellowjackets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 21 points or more this season.

Emiliano Henderson was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 15 rebounds. That's the most points he has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jerome Perkins, who posted 13 points.

St. Anthony is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 17 games, which provided a nice bump to their 28-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.8 points per game. As for Saint Mary's Hall, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-15.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Anthony will host San Antonio Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Saint Mary's Hall, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on St. Joseph Academy at 3:00 p.m. on February 4th.
