Lamar falls despite strong effort from Ben Noonan

The Lamar Warriors lost against the Central Arkansas Christian Mustangs two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Lamar was the victim of a rough 67-46 loss at the hands of Central Arkansas Christian. Lamar has struggled against Central Arkansas Christian recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

When it comes to explaining why Lamar lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ben Noonan. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. Noonan has been hot recently, having posted ten or more rebounds the last eight times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaz Crotts, who scored eight points.

Even though they lost, Lamar smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. This was only their second loss (out of eight games) when they hit their own glass that hard.

Lamar's defeat dropped their record down to 20-8. As for Central Arkansas Christian, the victory (which was their 19th in a row) raised their record to 20-3.

Lamar didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 68-45 victory vs. Mayflower on the 8th. Central Arkansas Christian has also already played their next contest, a 68-29 win against Baptist Prep on the 8th.
