Northwestern owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Cameron Comets 2-0. The victory was familiar territory for the Tigers, who have now won four matchups in a row.

Northwestern's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ellie Peterson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Northwestern hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cameron struck out 12 times.

Northwestern's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games. As for Cameron, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.
