Baseball Recap: Shaker Takes a Loss

Shaker and Saratoga Springs squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Shaker had to settle for second. They fell 5-1 to the Blue Streaks. The Bison haven't had much luck with the Blue Streaks recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Brayden Akley made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run.

Shaker's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Saratoga Springs, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-6.

While Shaker had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.
