Softball Recap: Esperanza Comes Up Short

Esperanza was the 10-4 winner over El Dorado when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Aztecs took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Hawks on Thursday. The Aztecs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Esperanza saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Calista Van Artsdalen, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Esperanza now has a losing record of 2-3. As for El Dorado, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Esperanza will venture away from home to challenge Aliso Niguel at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for El Dorado, they will head out to face off against Fullerton at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
