Volleyball Recap: Argonaut Takes a Loss

Argonaut was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the John Adams Academy - El Dorado Hills Patriots. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Argonaut was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made John Adams Academy - El Dorado Hills work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 28-26, 25-20, 23-25, 25-23.

John Adams Academy - El Dorado Hills was led to victory by Samantha Hall and Janae Drummond. Hall had 24 assists and eight digs, while Drummond had 21 digs and one assist. Hall has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more assists the last three times she's played.

Argonaut's defeat dropped their record down to 13-16. As for John Adams Academy - El Dorado Hills, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

Argonaut will head out to challenge Bradshaw Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for John Adams Academy - El Dorado Hills, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Faith Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
