Basketball Game Preview: Olympian Eagles vs. Monte Vista Monarchs

Olympian has gone 8-1 against Monte Vista recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. Having just played yesterday, the Olympian Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Monte Vista Monarchs at 5:00 p.m. Olympian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.5 points per game this season.

Olympian is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Victory Christian Academy on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Olympian came up short against Victory Christian Academy, falling 60-39.

Despite their defeat, Olympian saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Tristan Anderson, who posted 12 points and five rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Anderson has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last ten times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jordan Walker, who had six points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Monte Vista suffered their biggest loss since November 29, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 70-48 to Helix. The Monarchs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Olympian's defeat dropped their record down to 21-6. As for Monte Vista, their loss dropped their record down to 14-13.
