Softball Recap: Harrison County Has No Trouble Against Eastern

Harrison County barely beat Eastern the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Thorobreds/Fillies were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Eagles on Saturday. Considering the Thorobreds/Fillies have won 22 matches by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Harrison County's victory bumped their record up to 28-5. As for Eastern, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-13 record this season.

Harrison County will head out to challenge Madison Central at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Thorobreds/Fillies 1.8, the Indians 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Eastern, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 12-0 defeat against Greenup County on the 10th.
