Soccer Recap: Deer Valley Comes Up Short

If Deer Valley was riding high fresh off their 4-0 takedown of Berean Christian on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wolverines fell just short of the Mt. Diablo Red Devils by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Deer Valley couldn't quite close it out.

Deer Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Mt. Diablo, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Deer Valley will host Vanden at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mt. Diablo, they will take on Vintage at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mt. Diablo's defense better be ready for this one: Vintage have averaged an impressive 3.2 goals per game this season.
