Soccer Game Preview: Great Bridge vs. Hickory

The Great Bridge Wildcats are taking a road trip to challenge the Hickory Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Great Bridge comes in on four and Hickory on five.

Great Bridge is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Virginia's top teams: Western Branch, who was ranked 18th at the time (Great Bridge was ranked fourth). The Wildcats walked away with a 3-1 win over the Bruins on Thursday. Audrey Orrock had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Great Bridge.

Meanwhile, Hickory kept a clean sheet against King's Fork on Thursday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Bulldogs. With that victory, Hickory brought their scoring average up to 2.8 goals per game.

Great Bridge's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those four contests. As for Hickory, their win bumped their record up to 6-2-2.
