Baseball Game Preview: Faith Christian Eagles vs. Tri-County Cavaliers

For the second straight game, Faith Christian will face off against Tri-County. The Eagles will square off against the Cavaliers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Faith Christian is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

Faith Christian lost 16-2 to Tri-County on Tuesday.

For Tri-County's part, Tyler Burns was a standout: he went a perfect 4-for-4 with two triples, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most triples Burns has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Luke Voors, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one double.

Tri-County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .486. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Tri-County's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for Faith Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Faith Christian has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Tri-County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
