JW North was handed a six-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They skirted past the Hillcrest Trojans 11-10. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-3 back in April.

The team relied heavily on Audrina Camacho, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Angelina Martinez, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.

JW North has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Hillcrest, their record is now 15-12.

Looking ahead, JW North will head out on the road to square off against Heritage at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.81 runs per game on average), something the Huskies will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Hillcrest, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Canyon Springs at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Trojans' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
