Basketball Game Preview: Great Plains Lutheran Panthers vs. Michigan Lutheran Titans

Having just played yesterday, the Great Plains Lutheran Panthers will jump right back in to play the Michigan Lutheran Titans at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Great Plains Lutheran had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They breezed by Illinois Lutheran to the tune of 69-26.

Great Plains Lutheran can attribute much of their success to Micah Holien, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 16 points. Those 16 points gave Holien a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Czerwan, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 12 points and five rebounds.

Great Plains Lutheran smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in six consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Michigan Lutheran earned a 74-65 win over River Valley on Tuesday.

Everything came up roses for Great Plains Lutheran against Michigan Lutheran in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, as the team secured a 71-30 victory.
