Volleyball Recap: Snow Canyon Warriors vs. Crimson Cliffs Mustangs

Snow Canyon lost against Crimson Cliffs on March 7th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Snow Canyon took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Crimson Cliffs.

While Snow Canyon ultimately came up short, they really made Crimson Cliffs work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 15-25, 25-16, 25-19.

Nathan Harris paced Snow Canyon's offense, picking up 13 kills. Harris got some help from John Linden and his 30 assists. Finally, Harris was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Crimson Cliffs was led to victory by Colsen Neal and Xander Vernon. Neal had 18 digs and one assist, while Vernon had 13 kills, four digs, and four aces. Neal is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 12 or more in each of the last 11 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Nathan Dana, who had 16 assists and seven digs.

Snow Canyon's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-7. As for Crimson Cliffs, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.
