Football Recap: Capital Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Capital was the 15-13 winner over Gig Harbor when they last played one another back in November of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Cougars and the Tides were almost perfectly matched up on Saturday, but the Cougars suffered a 15-14 defeat. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gig Harbor found their leader in freshman James Castaneda, who rushed for 161 yards while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. Those 161 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Castaneda.

Capital's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Gig Harbor, they pushed their record up to 6-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

As of now, neither Capital nor the Tides have any future games scheduled.
