It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Pisgah ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Morton Panthers. The Dragons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 matches by six runs or more this season.

Pisgah is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Morton, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-16.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Pisgah beat the Panthers by a score of 17-3 later that day.
