Soccer Game Preview: Bay City Western vs. Owosso

The Bay City Western Warriors will challenge the Owosso Trojans on Wednesday. Bay City Western has given up an average of 2.8 goals per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Bay City Western's offense. They lost 8-0 to Grand Blanc on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, Bay City Western can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 194th, while Grand Blanc are ranked 35th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Owosso). Their defense stepped up to hand Everett an 8-0 shutout on Friday. The win was a breath of fresh air for Owosso as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Owosso picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 4-13. As for Bay City Western, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-11-1.
