Basketball Recap: William Stackhouse's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Altoona-Midway over Marmaton Valley

Altoona-Midway lost against Marmaton Valley back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Altoona-Midway Jets took a 45-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Marmaton Valley Wildcats.

Altoona-Midway lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being William Stackhouse, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Stackhouse is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 37 games he's played dating back to last season. Chance Mustain was another key player, putting up seven points and five steals.

Altoona-Midway's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Marmaton Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Altoona-Midway will head out to square off against Oswego at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Oswego will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Altoona-Midway surely won't give up without a fight. We've got a battle between Wildcats coming up.
