Baseball Recap: Hanna Comes Up Short

Hanna was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 5-2 to the La Joya Coyotes. The Golden Eagles were not able to make up for their defeat to the Coyotes from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Orlando Rico was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

Hanna's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for La Joya, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hanna will face off against Edinburg North at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for La Joya, they will welcome Palmview at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
