Northwest extended their postseason success on Thursday against Scottsbluff. They put the hurt on the Scottsbluff Bearcats with a sharp 12-4 victory. Considering the Vikings have won 20 matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Graclyn Simmons spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on seven hits and racked up ten Ks. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in September.

At the plate, Northwest got a massive performance out of Kyra Ray, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Jolie O'Hara, who scored four runs while going 2-for-4.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Northwest kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now hit at least eight hits in 15 consecutive games.

Northwest's win bumped their record up to 30-3. As for Scottsbluff, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 20-12.

As of now, neither Northwest nor Scottsbluff have any future games scheduled.
