Game recap: Coppell High School Football Team defeats Lewisville

LEWISVILLE, Texas - Coppell (Texas) extended its winning streak to five games with a 49-6 victory over Lewisville (Texas) on Saturday.

After taking the lead on a touchdown in the first quarter, the Cowboys were up 35-6 at the half.

Coppell grew its lead to 36 points entering the fourth quarter. CHS scored once in the quarter on a Charles West touchdown run.

Centers stood out for the Cowboys in the win. He kicked seven extra points.

Lewisville's only touchdown came on an 11-yard pass in the second quarter.



Led by Solomon Thomas, Coppell went into the matchup giving up only 15.3 points per game. The six points that the Farmers ended with were below their average of 9.1 coming into the game.

When the two teams played each other last season, CHS came away with a 41-3 victory.

The loss was the fourth in a row for Lewisville.
