Volleyball Recap: Trinity Valley Takes a Loss

Trinity Valley was the 3-0 winner over Oakridge when they last played one another back in October of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Trojans fell just short of the Owls by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. Trojans fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Owls since Tuesday.

Trinity Valley took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 24-26, 27-29, 25-18, 15-12.

This is the second loss in a row for Trinity Valley and nudges their season record down to 5-9. As for Oakridge, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Trinity Valley is set to challenge their familiar foe Episcopal School of Dallas at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Oakridge will face off against rival Hockaday at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
