Recap: Jefferson Panthers vs. Park Rangers
The Jefferson Panthers came tearing into Thursday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They breezed by Park at home to the tune of 74-47. Jefferson's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Jefferson's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was MacKenzie Layng, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and eight assists. The contest was Layng's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Cameron Toney, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Jefferson's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.1 points per game. As for Park, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
