Festus proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by seven) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Hillsboro Hawks 2-1. Festus have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Hillsboro, too.

Festus' victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Hillsboro, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Hillsboro will look to defend their home pitch on Monday against St. Vincent at 5:00 p.m. The match will give Hillsboro their first taste of in-conference action this season. Festus will be paying especially close attention to Hillsboro's contest: after Hillsboro faces off against St. Vincent, they'll take on Festus again at 6:30 p.m. on April 4.
