Softball Recap: Wes-Del Warriors vs. Madison-Grant Argylls

Wes-Del came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 12-6 to the Madison-Grant Argylls. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Argylls recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Bailee West was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She tossed 2.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. West was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs.

In other batting news, Kenzie Anderson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Keylie Byrd, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run.

Wes-Del's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Madison-Grant, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.
