Volleyball Recap: Chancellor Falls Despite Big Games from Bree Smith and Mariah Adbulrahimzai + How To Watch

After flying high against King George on Thursday, Chancellor came back down to earth. The Chargers fell just short of the Eastern View Cyclones by a score of 3-2 on Monday. Chargers fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Cyclones since Monday.

Chancellor came incredibly close to winning: the sets they lost were decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-23, 25-22, 20-25, 15-12.

Chancellor's loss came despite strong showings from Mariah Adbulrahimzai and Bree Smith. Adbulrahimzai had 11 digs, while Smith had 11 digs, ten kills, and two aces. Smith has been hot, having posted six or more kills the last eight times she's played.

Chancellor's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-4. As for Eastern View, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-7.

Chancellor wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against James Monroe on the 25th. As for Eastern View, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against King George on the 25th.
