Volleyball Recap: Tanque Verde Finds Home Court Redemption Against Sahuarita + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Tanque Verde, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top against the Sahuarita Mustangs by a score of 3-1 on Monday. The Hawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mustangs, too.

Tanque Verde had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-13, 25-17, 25-12.

Alexia Adams was nothing short of spectacular: she had 21 digs and nine aces. Those nine aces gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lauren Rietz, who had 15 assists and five digs.

They weren't the only good server: Tanque Verde was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 20 aces. They are 9-2 when they serve at least ten aces.

Tanque Verde's win bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Sahuarita, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-2.

Tanque Verde wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Catalina on the 23rd. As for Sahuarita, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Amphitheater at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
