Basketball Preview: Larimore Polar Bears vs. Park River/Fordville-Lankin Aggies
The Larimore Polar Bears's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Park River/Fordville-Lankin Aggies at 7:30 p.m. on February 5th. Hopefully Larimore focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Thursday.
Last Thursday, Larimore was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 50-44 to the Cougars.
Despite their loss, Larimore saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Jace Collison, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Michael Myers, who scored seven points along with ten rebounds and four blocks.
Meanwhile, Park River/Fordville-Lankin beat the Woodchucks 64-54 on Thursday.
Larimore dropped their record down to 8-7 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Park River/Fordville-Lankin, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-13.
Larimore came up short against the Aggies in their previous meeting back in March of 2023, falling 52-46. Can Larimore avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
