Preview: Paxton Bobcats vs. Jay Royals
The Paxton Bobcats will be playing at home against the Jay Royals at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Paxton will be looking to keep their eight-game home win streak alive.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Paxton ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They managed a 31-25 win over Freeport. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Paxton has scored all year.
Paxton's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Liam Sadler, who scored 13 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sadler has scored all season. Sawyer Adams was another key contributor, scoring six points along with nine rebounds and three blocks.
Meanwhile, with a playoff game on the line, Jay rose to the challenge on Thursday. They secured a 63-58 W over the Jaguars. The victory was familiar territory for Jay who now have eight in a row.
Paxton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. As for Jay, their win bumped their record up to 15-8.
