Volleyball Recap: Vail Mountain Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Vail Mountain lost against West Grand back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Rangers lost 3-0 to the Mustangs. The Rangers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Vail Mountain was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 29-27, 25-18, 25-15.

Weston Phillips paced Vail Mountain's offense, picking up five kills. Phillips got some help from Izzy Adochio and her six assists. Phillips was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Vail Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for West Grand, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Vail Mountain didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Caprock Academy on the 20th. As for West Grand, they will host North Park at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
