Colony proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by eight) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They beat the Lathrop Malemutes by a goal, winning 1-0. The win continues a trend for Colony in their matchups with Lathrop: they've now won eight in a row.

Colony's one-goal win came courtesy of Axel Simeck, who's now up to seven this season.

Colony's victory bumped their record up to 5-2-1. As for Lathrop, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, Colony and Lathrop will both be playing West Valley the next time they take the pitch. The Knights will head out to face the Wolf Pack at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Malemutes will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
